With its generous proportions and sculptural silhouette, the Pumpkin large sofa<\/strong> designed by Pierre Paulin<\/strong> for Ligne Roset<\/span><\/span><\/strong> embodies the bold and innovative spirit that defined the designer\u2019s work from the late 1950s onwards. Originally created in 1971 for the private apartments of French president Georges Pompidou<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, the Pumpkin has since become one of the most iconic seating designs of its era.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the soft, generous shape of a pumpkin, the sofa features smooth, enveloping curves that create a welcoming and comfortable seating experience. Its fully upholstered structure conceals the internal frame, allowing the design to appear as a single sculptural volume.
