Crafted in beech or oak, the coat stand unfolds like a game of pick-up sticks to hold clothing and accessories. The interlocking wooden pieces give it a highly appealing look, and once folded, it tucks discreetly into a corner. Its lightweight structure allows it to be moved as needed. Highly functional and sculptural, Sciangai is a design classic and is now part of several museum collections. It was awarded the “Compasso d’Oro” prize in 1979 for its exceptional aesthetics, functionality, and natural elegance.
