The Malagola suspension, designed by Enzo Catellani for Catellani & Smith, continues the designer’s exploration of light and its color. Inspired by the warm tones of the sun and fire, it embodies the concept of light refraction, a signature element of his work.

Its hand-crafted aluminium diffuser features an irregular inner surface coated in metallic leaf (gold, silver, or copper). This finish captures and amplifies the light, creating a warm, vibrant, and immersive atmosphere. Here, light becomes a material in itself, enhancing textures and depth.
