Founded in 1934 by Arthur Lincx, PAONLIN’s history began in the world of cinema, as, until the early 1990s, movie posters were painted by hand. Several poster artists, including the Belgian Edmond Jamoulle, used PAONLIN paints to create their works.

After this cinematic chapter, PAONLIN’s growth continued through the support of professional artists. Attracted by their quality and rich colors, many artists made PAONLIN paints their preferred tool. This tradition continues today, with renowned artists such as Isabelle de Borchgrave, Philippe Van Snick, and Jean-Luc Moerman bringing their art to life with PAONLIN paints.

After more than 75 years in Saint-Gilles, PAONLIN recently moved its workshops to Overijse and undertook extensive work to review and expand its range of paints. Starting with 18 base colors available in 4 intensity ranges (INTENSE, EXTREME, WELL-TEMPERED, and NEUTRAL) and 7 levels of brightness, from darkest to lightest, PAONLIN now offers 505 shades, covering the entire color spectrum. For the more daring, an exclusive range of 10 neon colors, as well as gold and silver paints, is also available. At Sisu, you can experience firsthand the unique matte finish, opacity, and visual depth of PAONLIN paints, as some walls in the showroom are painted with the brand’s products. We will then guide you in selecting the shades best suited to bring your projects to life. To assist you in making your choice, PAONLIN has developed a comprehensive range of selection tools, including a color chart showcasing the 18 base colors in the 4 intensity ranges, 4 gradient palettes, 18 A3 color cards, sample fans (5×15 cm) covering the entire color range, and A2 peel-and-stick samples, all hand-painted.
