The concept behind the Ploum sofa is based on the innovative combination of two materials: an extremely flexible stretch upholstery fabric and ultra-soft high-resilience foam. This pairing allows the fabric to perfectly follow the sofa’s organic curves while delivering exceptional softness and comfort. Thanks to this technology and its generous proportions, the sofa naturally adapts to different body positions — sitting, lounging, or reclining.
In this large version with high backrest, the designers intentionally introduced subtle asymmetry into the structure. The right-hand backrest is slightly higher than the left, while the right-hand seat is slightly deeper. The zipper located at the back of the backrest is also deliberately off-centre. These refined details contribute to the sofa’s distinctive identity while enhancing its ergonomic comfort.
Designed to accommodate up to four people, the sofa also features a slightly inward-curving seat angle. This design encourages closer seating positions and creates a convivial atmosphere that naturally promotes conversation and interaction.
